Calibration
Before the patient is seated, two swift calibrations are performed: handpiece tracker and patient tracker. The entire calibration check can be finished within just five minutes. It basically involves registering the patient tracker and handpiece tracker with the 3D system to enable real-time guidance.
System Check
Once the patient is ready for the surgery, the dentist will position the X-Clip with the patient tracker onto the teeth. The dentist will then use the Go-Plate to determine the drill bit length. Following that, the dentist will touch the neighboring anatomy to confirm the system’s calculation of the position.
Navigation Surgery
This step pertains to an interactive step-by-step guidance that provides the ability to effectively control the surgical procedure. It functions similar to a GPS for the drill.
